A sun that doesn't set but settles

You were right about the stars... each one is a setting sun.

This is the first outdoor photo I've taken with the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 lens that I purchased a couple of weeks ago. I've been yearning to take Chelsea out for some shoots but work has had me chained like a slave for ages. Finally, the glorious weekend rolled by and I spotted a nice glow behind the trees in the backyard which prompted me to quickly grab Chels and dash out to a nearby vacant lot where I snapped this beautiful sunset as it was setting swiftly. That's the amazing thing about photography... how you can capture breathtaking moments in even the ordinariest of places if you just put in some effort with your timing, composition and equipment.

On a side note, if you want to know some good music, and by that I mean mind-blowingly amazing music that will probably change your life forever... then this is the blog to follow. Or maybe I'm just a musical elitist talking shit. But give this a try: for every entry, right click on the music link and 'open in new tab' and let the song from youtube play while you read this entry. Every song I select is one that is dear to my heart. These songs make me feel so much. In a world ridden with injustices and living a life so weighed down with baggage, music is my salvation. Sometimes you have to be a robot in order to keep your head above the water, but music ensures that you don't completely lose your humanity. It helps me feel what I would otherwise mentally block out for my sanity's sake. I hope it will make you feel something too.
