I went on a trip around the Shandong province of China a month ago. The journey started and ended in Qingdao, a seaside city that hosted the yacht racing competitions for the 2008 Olympics. These photos were taken on a bus ride up Lao Shan ('shan' means mountain in Chinese) to visit an ancient Taoist temple deep in the mountains where Taoist priests still practice today.
